The service also needs to include the disconnection and disposal of the resident’s current appliance, replacing it with new (where applicable). The scope of the agreement includes, but is not limited to the following: cookers, fridges, fridge-freezers, washing machines, tumble dryers, microwaves, and air fryers. This list is not exhaustive. Please note that funding for local welfare support is discretionary and therefore we cannot commit to a minimum quantity of white goods required. About the buyer
Buckinghamshire Council buys as a local authority, with buying decisions devolved to its individual business units. Framework routes include the Crown Commercial Service and regional purchasing consortia such as the Eastern Shires Purchasing Organisation. A central procurement team gives specialist tendering advice to business units across the council.
Smaller works contracts often go through Constructionline, where suppliers register their qualifications.
Over the past 5 years, most of Buckinghamshire Council's contract awards have been in transport services, construction work and health and social work.
