About the buyer
NHS Resolution is an arm's length body of the Department of Health and Social Care, and buys as a healthcare organisation. Four functions cover claims management, practitioner performance advice, primary care appeals, and safety and learning. Special legal services are bought by appointing law firms to a legal panel that helps manage claims. The panel has lots for clinical liabilities, non-clinical liabilities, and regulatory, health and disciplinary law. NHS Resolution's procurement policy allows a compliant framework to be used at any value.
Over the past 5 years, most of NHS Resolution's contract awards have been in business services, IT services and office and computing equipment.
