About the buyer
Bracknell Forest Council is a unitary local authority in Berkshire that buys across several service areas. Below that threshold, quotation exercises invite bids from at least three suppliers. Bids are judged on price alongside quality and whole life cost. Social care, building maintenance and IT each keep separate procurement contacts.
Works contracts often draw on Constructionline, a national supplier database. Framework agreements let the council run further competition instead of a full tender.
Over the past 5 years, most of Bracknell Forest Council's contract awards have been in health and social work, construction work and IT services.
