About the buyer
Cork Education and Training Board is the statutory education body for Cork city and county, set up in 2013. The board replaced the former County and City of Cork Vocational Education Committees. Cork College of FET runs its own tenders, such as simulation equipment for healthcare education. Board policy directs staff to use central frameworks from the Office of Government Procurement where available. Procurement policy is based on the European Union (Award of Public Authority Contracts) Regulations 2016.
Over the past 5 years, most of Cork Education and Training Board's contract awards have been in food and drink, furniture and furnishings and hotel, catering and retail.
