About the buyer
London Fire Brigade is London's fire and rescue service, a blue light buyer with its own procurement department. Framework deals run by bodies such as the Crown Commercial Service, Kent County Council and the Fire Consortium cover much of what it buys. Smaller purchases are handled directly by Brigade officers, with a central Procurement Department managing bigger competitions. Collaborative procurement extends to fire authorities, London's emergency services, local authorities and the GLA Group.
Over the past 5 years, most of London Fire Brigade's contract awards have been in education and training, health and social work and security and defence equipment.
