About the buyer
Central Bedfordshire Council buys as a local authority, running its own procurement function for the area. Framework agreements are used to source many of these larger contracts. Smaller requirements are bought by direct quote from the relevant service area. The council does not use a preferred or approved list of suppliers.
Over the past 5 years, most of Central Bedfordshire Council's contract awards have been in construction work, architectural and engineering services and business services.
