Tender description

This Local Improvement Scheme constitutes a supplementary agreement to the GMS contracts held by GP practices within NHS Herefordshire and Worcestershire Integrated Care Board. This means that only a provider currently offering essential primary medical services to a list of patients under a GMS/PMS/APMS contract will be eligible to provide any of the services outlined under the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Improvement Scheme Service Offer. Lot 1: This Local Improvement Scheme contract has been awarded in accordance with Regulation 8 of the Provider Selection Regime Regulations Direct Award Process B (Provider Selection Regime) for the period 1st July 2024 to 30th June 2025. This contract was initially agreed in 2022/2023 with ringfenced funding agreed until 30th June 2027. The parties agreed that the requirements under this agreement are intended to be reviewed and amended each contract year and will not automatically be renewed unless notified; for example, as a result of changes to priorities, or if a particular area of improvement is considered to have been achieved to the extent required by NHS Herefordshire and Worcestershire Integrated Care Board. The total contract value is based on £11.00 per weighted patient based on the GP Practice List sizes as of 1st April 2024. The total financial envelope for 2024/2025 is £9.3m. Additional information: Contract award approval was agreed at NHS Herefordshire and Worcestershire Integrated Care Board's Strategic Commissioning Committee on the 12th June 2024, and contract offer letters were issued to the 78 existing GP Practice providers in Herefordshire and Worcestershire on 21st June 2024.
