Corporate Telephony RFI

Tender description

RFI to assist in defining requirements for Anchor's Corporate Telephony project. Anchor’s main corporate telephony service was implemented in 2013, it is a physical Cisco platform owned by Anchor but hosted and managed by BT. It currently provides telephony functionality to the customer centre (the already underway Contact Centre Technology project will replace this), most Anchor care homes and colleagues that still use Jabber for making and receive telephone calls. It also underpins the hotel style telephony services at five sites. Due to the complexities of the corporate network set up care homes cannot move to the Connected Properties solution while they are still using on the Cisco telephony platform. Other telephony services, mainly in care and large independent living sites are reliant on old copper infrastructure which is being retired by Open Reach in December 2025. This “keep the lights on” project seeks to retire the Cisco platform and introduce a single telephony platform based on Microsoft Teams. This project will also identify and implement a new solution for care home colleagues and residents and other sites where communal phones are used.
