About the buyer
Intellectual Property Office operates as an executive agency of the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT), procuring as a central government body. Framework agreements, mostly routed through the Government Commercial Agency, are the preferred route to market. Purchases above a set threshold follow framework-specific terms rather than standard terms. The office works with DSIT on shared goods and services and is committed to increasing spend with SMEs.
Over the past 5 years, most of Intellectual Property Office's contract awards have been in software and information systems, IT services and business services.
