Unsuccessful bidders can request feedback on their submission once a decision is made. The Commercial Strategy for 2026 to 2028 aims to simplify procurement processes and engage Kent-based businesses, SMEs and VCSEs early.

UK local government drives £140bn in annual procurement, led by social protection (£66.6bn) and education (£57.1bn).

Over the past 5 years, most of Kent County Council's contract awards have been in construction work, health and social work and business services.
