About the buyer
The ExtraCare Charitable Trust is a housing association charity, running retirement villages for older people across England. A dedicated Head of Procurement leads its in-house procurement team. Framework agreements handle much of this spend, drawing on Crown Commercial Service, Procurement for Housing and Eastern Shires Purchasing Organisation deals. Smaller purchases follow a tiered written-quote process before larger contracts move to a full tender.
Over the past 5 years, most of The ExtraCare Charitable Trust's contract awards have been in food and drink, office and computing equipment and communications equipment.
