As an evidence-based organisation, Natural England need to ensure that we have access to the best available information to guide our advice to decision making bodies on marine and coastal development works which may impact the Holderness coast. The aim of this project is therefore to produce a broad-scale habitat map of the Holderness inshore region, based on recent Multibeam Echosounder (MBES) and backscatter data, to help inform our evidence base of the important ecological and sedimentary processes of the area. Please find further information within the project specification. About the buyer
Natural England is a non-departmental public body, and buys through its own eSourcing portal for organisations wanting to work with it. Registration on the portal is free, and suppliers can browse live opportunities without commitment. Contract awards and the documents behind them are published separately on Contracts Finder, the government's central register for public sector contract opportunities and awards. Procurement queries can be directed to Natural England's own procurement support team, or to Defra's central procurement contact, depending on the enquiry. Successful bidders must supply a Dun & Bradstreet DUNS number before a contract is confirmed.
Procurement spend from central entities makes up 66% of overall UK public spend.
Over the past 5 years, most of Natural England's contract awards have been in research and development, waste, cleaning and environmental services and architectural and engineering services.
