Tender description

The Authority require a contractor to deliver an initial council wide survey in September 2024 and at least one survey every two years (taking place in 2024, 2026 and 2028) with the option to request additional surveys when needed. We are keen in exploring both a fully managed survey as well as an engagement platform to monitor and design feedback at both Team, Service Area and Directorate level, producing robust and meaningful data for managers to work with. The Authority will review the submissions to the opportunity to tender to decide whether to proceed with the engagement platform. The Contract Manager should be available to attend regular progress meetings with Authority representation if the Authority deems this necessary. There will be a requirement to deliver an initial council wide survey in September 2024 and at least one survey every two years, with the option to request additional surveys when needed. The contract will consist of an initial term of 3 years, The Authority may in its absolute discretion extend this Contract for a further period (or further periods) of up to 2 (two) years. About the buyer

North Tyneside Council delivers local services across the borough as a local authority, advertising its contract opportunities on the NEPO Portal. Suppliers register free on the portal, then register interest in a specific opportunity before submitting a questionnaire and supporting documents. A Dynamic Purchasing System lets suppliers apply at any time, with compliance checked first and mini-competitions run for individual requirements. Suppliers can opt out of individual mini-competitions without losing their place on the DPS. The Business Factory, the council's business support programme, offers workshops and one-to-one help with bids for larger contracts.

UK local government drives £140bn in annual procurement, led by social protection (£66.6bn) and education (£57.1bn).

Over the past 5 years, most of North Tyneside Council's contract awards have been in construction materials, health and social work and construction work.
