Tender description
The Sound + Vision Galleries is a new gallery spread across two floors of the museum that will enable us to permanently display our most significant collections and telling new stories that will be more engaging and relevant to our visitors.It will be focused on the historical innovations and everyday uses of Sound + Vision technologies, this will include the objects from our core collections of Photography, Film, TV, Sound and Gaming. The galleries will not be organised by chronology or type but will use themes to talk across timeframes and disciplines.This tender is split into four main sections;1. Digital Interactives2. Sound Design3. Animation4. Immersive Experience Production Lot A: Mixing desk interactive Visitors step into the shoes of a live sound engineer. Lot B: All Star Ents interactive Visitors bring beats and samples together to produce their own music track. Lot C: Foley interactive Visitors will squeeze, hit and scrape everyday objects to make their own sound effects. Lot D: Bradford Community Broadcasting interactive Visitors step into the role of a community radio DJ. Lot E: Fast and Slow interactive Visitors turn a wheel to look at time-lapse and slow motion imagery, and see the world in a different way. Lot F: Sound design Exploring Worlds – atmospheric sound experience to support content from Antarctica and Outer SpaceLevel 5 Entrance – soundscape influenced by the work of Radiophonic WorkshopLevel 3 Entrance – soundscape influenced by the visual content in Sound + Vision, particularly IMAX, surround sound, cinematic trailers and idents Lot G: Animation Zeroes and Ones – a ‘how it works’ film explaining how a digital image sensor worksTalbot – a ‘how it works’ film explaining William Fox-Talbot’s negative to positive photographic process Lot H: Fairy Garden A creative agency or production company who can deliver an immersive scene / experience for Sound + Vision.
