Kings Hall Leisure Centre: Urgent Additional Temporary Truss Supports

About the buyer

London Borough of Hackney is a local authority that buys through its own procurement team, the Hackney Procurement Centre. Contract opportunities are advertised on ProContract, the council's eTendering system. Registration on ProContract is free, though every supplier is manually vetted before approval. Larger contracts also appear on Find a Tender, and suppliers bidding nationally must register on the government's central digital platform under the Procurement Act 2023. A public contracts register lists every agreement the council has awarded. Suppliers registered on ProContract can also bid for further London authority and public sector contracts.

UK local government drives £140bn in annual procurement, led by social protection (£66.6bn) and education (£57.1bn).

Over the past 5 years, most of London Borough of Hackney's contract awards have been in construction work, architectural and engineering services and health and social work.
