:Provision of Residential Care for two (2) Children with Complex Needs

South Ayrshire Council on behalf of South Ayrshire Health and Social Care Partnership (SAHSCP) is undertaking a market scoping exercise, under Regulation 41 of the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015, seeking notes of interest from experienced Children’s Residential Care Providers (with at least 5 years’ experience of delivering residential care) who is able to provide a ‘family approach’ while delivering high quality, nurturing care to two children (aged 5 and 7), committing to these two children only, for as long as they need care over their childhoods. Lot 1: The Provider must have an identified base within South Ayrshire, that is already, or able to be future proofed for wheelchair use to include at the very least: - A homely environment - Ground level access - Three-bedroom house, including a staff sleepover room. - One of these bedrooms must be on the level/ground floor with wet room access. - Separate bathroom – for staff use. - Secure garden – for playing and fun. The Provider must be experienced in caring for children with multiple complex needs including trauma, attachment, and additional support needs both physical and learning. The Provider must be experienced in caring for children who have Autism. The Provider must be trained/experienced in caring for children who have complex medical and health needs including spina bifida, catheter and shunt care. The Provider must be able to ensure there is a small, robust staff team to ensure compliance with infection control risks/management. The Provider must be able to ensure all aspects of both children’s Care Plans are fully met including maintaining their existing Educational and Health provisions as well as their Emotional, Social and Identity needs including supporting ongoing relationships with birth families and others who are important to each child.
