About the buyer
London Borough of Haringey is a local authority, and advertises contract opportunities through its own procurement portal, HPCS. New suppliers register on HPCS, selecting the goods, works or services categories they can bid for. Registered suppliers then receive alerts for contract opportunities that match their categories. Higher-value contracts also appear on Find a Tender, with Contracts Finder used for smaller opportunities. General supplies and design or print work are sourced through the Hive and Panacea dynamic purchasing systems. Procurement across the council follows the Procurement Act 2023 and its own Contract Standing Orders.
UK local government drives £140bn in annual procurement, led by social protection (£66.6bn) and education (£57.1bn).
Over the past 5 years, most of London Borough of Haringey's contract awards have been in construction work, health and social work and IT services.
