Tender description
Derbyshire GP practices to manage and oversee the delivery of The NHS Health Check Programme for a period of 2 years from 1st April 2023 for a period of two years up to 31 March 2025. The NHS Health Check programme aims to prevent heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes, kidney disease, and raise awareness of dementia and alcohol harm both across the population and within high risk and vulnerable groups within Derbyshire. About the buyer
Derbyshire County Council is the local authority for the county of Derbyshire and organises its procurement by category under a five-year rolling strategy. Tender notices are published on Find a Tender, the Central Digital Platform, under the Procurement Act 2023. Documents for each tender are issued through the Proactis supplier portal, where suppliers register and set tailored alerts. Category management consolidates recurring spend into frameworks and dynamic purchasing systems. Three category leads cover corporate, property and ICT, people services, and place. Call-offs from ESPO frameworks for estates and language services are recorded as published council decisions.
UK local government drives £140bn in annual procurement, led by social protection (£66.6bn) and education (£57.1bn).
Over the past 5 years, most of Derbyshire County Council's contract awards have been in construction work, transport services and business services.
