eTenders Ireland: public sector tenders and contract notices
eTenders is Ireland's national procurement portal, run by the Office of Government Procurement (OGP). The current platform, provided by European Dynamics, went live on 15 May 2023 and replaced the previous eTenders system. It serves public bodies across the Republic of Ireland.
All Irish contracting authorities publish their tender opportunities and award notices here, from central government to local authorities, health, and education. Contracts above the relevant EU thresholds are also published to Tenders Electronic Daily (TED) and the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU). Lower-value national contracts stay on eTenders only.
Contracting authorities must advertise goods and services contracts worth €50,000 (excluding VAT) or more on eTenders. Works contracts must be advertised from €200,000 (excluding VAT). Contracts above the EU thresholds, revised from 1 January 2026, must also be published to OJEU.

How do I search for tenders on eTenders?
Use the Search Notices function to browse current opportunities. You can filter by buyer, CPV code, deadline, and procurement type, then open a notice to see the Request for Tender and its documents. Registered users can also set up automated alerts based on CPV codes and region.
How do I register as a supplier?
Go to etenders.gov.ie and select Register as a Supplier. Complete the registration form, then follow the activation instructions sent to your email. Once your account is active, you can access opportunities, documents, and the messaging system for clarifications.
What's the difference between eTenders and OJEU/TED?
eTenders is Ireland's national portal and carries all advertised public sector opportunities, including lower-value national contracts. Tenders Electronic Daily (TED), which publishes the OJEU, is the EU-wide service. Contracts above the EU thresholds appear on both: on eTenders for the Irish market and on TED for the wider EU.
