Description

Virtual Laboratory Platform Simulation-based education is a rapidly developing method of supplementing and enhancing 3rd level education and uses pedagogical approaches involving interactive engagement of students. The Covid19 pandemic accelerated the introduction of simulation software into teaching chemistry modules and allowed students to prepare for and to complete many laboratory experiments online and explore concepts and theories without stepping into a chemistry lab. The consortium (i.e. MU, TUS and DKIT) requires an experienced service provider to provide a licence for a virtual laboratory platform for approximately 870 students across 3 campuses: MU, TUS and DkIT To be rolled out on ~10 teaching modules in chemistry. The provider should outline in the Pricing Schedule any pricing changes that may affect the consortium license should the number of users change during the contract term. The expected duration of the contract term is initially 3 years, with options to extend annually, up to a maximum of 12 months. A high-level view of the services included in this contract are: • Supply of software hosting, licenses, integration of software & licences, storage, data management and backups. • Provide simulation content and courses and assessment platforms appropriate to our undergraduate needs • Warranty & Technical Support. • Account Management.
