UL - PIN Notice - Supply and Installation of Back-up Generators

Installation & Commissioning of Backup Generators associated with the Low Voltage Distribution system at various locations across the campus. This works shall include, but not limited to: the supply, delivery to site, placing in position, assembly and installation, connection, testing, commissioning and maintenance for a guarantee period of one year from acceptance by the Employer, of the standby generators, rated at 250kVA, 500kVA, 800kVA and 1,250kVA standby power. The generators shall be designed to accept minimum of 75% single block load and operate within limits described in ISO 8528-5, Performance Class Operating Limit Values, Table 4, Class G2. Lot 1: The University of Limerick intends to publish a tender notice for the following: Installation & Commissioning of Backup Generators associated with the Low Voltage Distribution system at various locations across the campus. This works shall include, but not limited to: the supply, delivery to site, placing in position, assembly and installation, connection, testing, commissioning and maintenance for a guarantee period of one year from acceptance by the Employer, of the standby generators, rated at 250kVA, 500kVA, 800kVA and 1,250kVA standby power. The generators shall be designed to accept minimum of 75% single block load and operate within limits described in ISO 8528-5, Performance Class Operating Limit Values, Table 4, Class G2. The system shall consist of: Diesel alternator set (at 0.8 p.f.) 400/230V AC in an enclosure, Digital control panel, Starting batteries and charger, Exhaust and silencing system, Control/pilot cables, Sound attenuation & associated ductwork, Enclosure, All pipework & associated pumps and filtering systems, Flue System, EGIP synchronisation to ESB/campus network, Anti-vibration mountings for the diesel alternator set, Earthing, Ventilation, Integration to existing campus Building Management System (Cylon Unitron UC.net), remote alarm monitoring, EGIP synchronisation, All necessary sundries to give a complete and satisfactory emergency/stand-by electrical generation and distribution system, Service manuals and record drawings, Tools and spare parts, Temporary Fuel storage system, Load banks and connecting cables, Fuel for testing and commissioning including 48-hour, full load operation of the generator. The installation of the back-up generator and associated fuel tank shall be co-ordinated with the Building & Civil Works Contractor and an Electrical Contractor, both whom are to be procured separately.
