DCU delivers two main sessions of graduation per year. The majority of graduates are conferred during the larger autumn conferring schedule. Based on our recent conferring numbers, our Autumn ceremonies facilitate ~4800 graduates. These ceremonies are normally held during the university reading week in Autumn (October/November). The spring schedule normally celebrate c. 900 graduates and is held in February/March. Arrangements for these conferring ceremonies are co-ordinated by DCU Registry. In addition, the University occasionally confers honorary degrees on individuals for distinction in scholarship or an outstanding contribution in their field. In the past four years, DCU has conferred 7 Honorary Doctorates. These may feature as part of the University’s main graduation sessions or take place during stand-alone ceremonies. Photography and Framing Services The service provider will be required to provide Studio Photography Sessions that the graduates can book in advance. The service provider will also be required to provide a Framing Service for DCU graduates Parchments. The service provider will be afforded designated space/s on the University campus at no additional cost to enable it to deliver the required service. It is anticipated that the number of students being conferred at the University's graduation ceremonies will increase over the duration of the contract. No other external photographers will be permitted to offer graduation photography on DCU sites throughout the duration of the contract. DCU require a named point of contact at all times including during ceremonies to manage all enquiries. This point of contact is available to resolve any issues. Also required on site during conferring(s) is an account manager with the necessary authority to make a decision and deal with all matters related to this contract.
