Trinity College Dublin, the University of Dublin wishes to conduct preliminary market consultations with interested parties in relation to the operation of a restaurant/café within the newly proposed innovation hub on Grand Canal Quay. The establishment of the innovation hub and associated café is the first step in the delivery of the proposed internationally leading Grand Canal Innovation District. Trinity would like to discuss the opportunity with various catering providers with a view to better understand the offerings available in the market. The innovation hub is a 5 500 m2 co-working and collaboration facility which will provide space for early-stage start-ups, research-active corporates, a meeting space to activate the innovation community in Dublin and a programme of activities for people who work and live in the local community. The development of the innovation hub will also include a public square with seating and is adjacent to the restaurant/café located within the hub. It is envisaged that the innovation hub and associated restaurant/café will be operational in the first half of 2022. In addition to the public, the almost 500 members of the hub will be a market for the café. Additionally, Trinity are open to discussing the option for catering partner to provide catering for internal meetings, events and so forth held in the innovation hub. It is envisaged that preliminary market consultations will take place from w/c 15 March 2021. Interested parties are requested to express their interest via etenders and use the messaging facility to contact the contracting authority. Please note, this is not a call for competition. Trinity does not guarantee that a follow-up call for competition will be published.
