Description

Trinity is developing a 5.5 acre site as a new innovation campus for the university. As part of the development of this campus, Trinity is seeking to deliver a world class, flagship research building for Engineering, Environment and Emerging Technologies (E3RI). The new campus will be embedded in the vibrant Grand Canal Innovation District, a vibrant urban quarter that is home to some the world’s leading companies in tech, financial and professional services, as well as Dublin’s Smart City initiative. Lot 1: This Prior Information Notice is to inform the market that Trinity is undertaking preliminary market consultations as outlined under Article 40 of Directive 2014/24/EU. The University is looking to explore the options available to deliver and operate the proposed E3RI. It is hoped that parties will provide constructive feedback and help inform Trinity’s potential procurement and delivery strategy. Through the delivery of the proposed project, Trinity’s aim will be not only to provide a world class research institute as part of an Innovation Campus but also to add to the creation of a vibrant new city neighbourhood that connects the University and business to surrounding communities. Parties interested in participating in this process should register their interest on www.etenders.gov.ie, request, complete and return the Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) fully executed. A brief descriptive document together with a questionnaire will then be provided. All Parties are invited to submit responses to the questionnaire via the portal by 17:00 on Friday 24th September 2021. As part of this process, the University may hold one-to-one discussions with selected parties, as practical between Monday 6th September - Friday 24th September 2021. The detail of any potential procurement process will be influenced by a number of factors including the outcome of this PIN process. It is currently considered likely that should Trinity decide to proceed with a formal procedure the process will commence in Q1 2022. However, no decisions have been made to date. The descriptive document, questionnaire and instructions are available following registrations on www.etenders.gov.ie and return of a signed NDA. Should parties wish to discuss the project directly or require any clarification, please use the messaging facility on www.etenders.gov.ie. Responses to the questionnaire should be submitted via the portal by 17:00 on 24th September 2021.
