Trinity College Dublin, the University of Dublin wishes to conduct preliminary market consultations with interested parties in relation to the Fire Suppression System Procurement as described in the attached document. The procurement of the fire suppression system is key to completing the detailed design and in turn commencing the contractor works packages. Trinity would like to discuss the opportunity with various economic operators with a view to better understand the offerings available in the market. Please note, this is not a call for competition. Trinity does not guarantee that a follow-up call for competition will be published. It is envisaged that preliminary market consultations will take place from w/c 28th June 2021. Interested parties are requested to express their interest via eTenders and use the messaging facility to contact the contracting authority. Lot 1: The Old Library Redevelopment Project (OLRP) comprises works to the Old Library building, the Berkeley Library podium and Fellows’ Square. The Old Library and Podium buildings are located within the Trinity College Dublin Campus at College Green adjacent to Fellows Square. The Old Library is a renowned and prominent historic building within the centre of Trinity and Dublin life. It is a major and iconic tourist attraction. As part of Fire Safety Strategy for the proposed refurbished building, a wet fire suppression system will be installed throughout both the Old Library, Podium Visitor Centre and plant room accommodation. This PIN notice relates to procurement of the Fire Suppression System, a High Pressure Water Mist (HPWM) system designed in accordance with BS8489-1:2016 or EN 14972-1:2020, NFPA Standard 750 and based on actual fire test data relating to the hazard identified by the Specialist Designer.
