Designated Landscapes Wales Learning Resources Digital Media and Design Services Project
Published
Description
1. Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority (“PCNPA”) wish to commission a digital production partner to support the development and publication of educational resources for the Designated Landscapes of Wales (Priorities for Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty and National Parks 2018 (valued and resilient) | GOV.WALES). 2. PCNPA is the project lead for the Wales Designated Landscapes Learning Resources Project, a collaboration funded through the Sustainable Landscapes, Sustainable Places fund. Our project partners are: • Anglesey AONB (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) • Clwydian Range & Dee Valley AONB • Gower AONB • Llyn Peninsula AONB • Wye Valley AONB • Brecon Beacons National Park • Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park 3. The project’s delivery requires digital and design inputs both in terms of the production of resources, ensuring that they enable digital inclusion for learners, and in the way the resources are presented and accessed on digital platforms. 4. The resources produced will address themes and topics relating to Wales Designated Landscapes and be relevant to the requirements of the new Curriculum for Wales 5. The resources will be co-produced in collaboration with groups of teachers and the project partners identified above. The partnership is also seeking to appoint an Education consultant (as part of a separate tender) to support these elements of the project. 6. The partnership envisages creating learning resources that optimise the use of digital tools to enhance learning and access to the assets produced. The resources should be accessible to the learning community, whilst supporting learning and promoting understanding, appreciation and stewardship of Designated Landscapes 7. The contractor will work alongside the Education consultant (see Point 6) to provide expertise in making best use of digital options to present the content created and where possible, support the communication channels used to develop the resources (see Point 8 below). 8. The project will seek to co-produce the educational resources with groups of teachers representing the designated landscape areas and also facilitate the involvement of representatives from each of the DL area as listed above. 9. The contractor will need to work with the project partners and education consultant in terms of the design of materials and content. They will also be expected to provide a leading input into the creation of an identify for the resources and where appropriate the platform on which they are hosted 10. The work needs to be produced and published in Welsh and English and additionally encourage and facilitate the use of Welsh language 11. Up to £75,000, exclusive of VAT, is available for the work. 12. The project is due to be completed by the end of March 2025, with the work programme spread across the delivery period to an agreed timescale. 13. Proposals should only be submitted via Sell 2 Wales: Sell2Wales
