Description

PROBE at the University of Bergen needs to procure up two mass spectrometers for proteomics analyses and one HLPC. The purchase is based on our need to provide qualitative and quantitative proteomics analyses for users of PROBE. The methods the instrument must cover are semi-quantitative shotgun proteomics based on TMT (10-, 11- and 16-plex), label-free, SILAC and Data Independent Aquisition. For targeted quantitative and semi-quantitative analyses, access to Parallel Reaction Monitoring (PRM) as an analytical method is an absolute requirement. The contract will be signed 10 days after publication of the prior information notice. TMT is a method that requires high m/z resolution for separating the various mass reports that are used for quantification when the attractive and frequently used 10-, 11- and 16-plex reagents are involved. The high resolution of the instrument must be >100 000 at m/z 200.
