LC MS MS for Østfold Hospital

Description

Østfold Hospital plans to procure a new LC-MS/MS for the analysis of D vitamin (vitamin D2 and vitamin D3). The instrument will replace one of two instruments that are currently used to analyse vitamin D. It is important for the Hospital that the analysis results from the new method are comparable with the current method. It is also important that the analysis machine and associated method will satisfy the upcoming IVDR directive. Lot 1: A market dialogue was held with an open invitation in Mercell. Four suppliers registered for it. The result of the market dialogue showed that several of the suppliers could deliver a system equivalent to the current system. However one supplier stood out and could deliver an improved system that is in accordance with the upcoming IVDR directive. Cascadion MS is a fully automatic chromatography machine that will not required preparatory work on the samples. Such a system is in accordance with the hospital's strategy, both as regards use of resources, use of technology/automation, and the standardisation of sample results. On this basis, Østfold Hospital intends to enter into an agreement with Thermo Fisher Scientific for the Cascadion MS model including a framework agreement for equipment-dependent consumption and a service and maintenance agreement.
