Outsourcing of Neurodevelopmental Diagnostic Assessments to reduce waiting lists in Cardiff and Vale University Health Board Lot 1: The Cardiff and Vale University Health Board (CAVUHB) Neurodevelopmental Service provides a specialist diagnostic assessment for children and young people with neurodevelopmental disorders. This specialist expertise is provided in the form of assessment and management of children and young people up until the age of 18 years with complex neurodevelopmental disorders. Neurodevelopmental assessments are used to diagnose neurodevelopmental conditions like attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) or Autism. Due to a significant increase in demand, the Health Board is seeking to implement additional clinical resource to undertake appropriate diagnostic assessments for Neurodevelopmental conditions including autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). The additional clinical resource will support in the clinical delivery of diagnostic assessment to children and young people across the age range who have been waiting for assessment for over 2 years This Notice is an intention to award a contract based on a framework agreement without a competition, The contract is expected to commence on 6th January 2026, with all identified patients receiving meaningful engagement from the Provider by 31st March 2026. The estimated value of this contract is 649,525.00 GBP based on the identified patient case mix.
