Description
The Northern Ireland Courts and Tribunals Service (NICTS) is heavily dependent on a range of line of business (LOB) applications to help it support the administration of court and tribunal procedures. Over time, systems have been commissioned to support specific business areas, while other business areas either have nothing, or ad-hoc solutions (spreadsheets, Access Databases, etc.) that have been developed by staff. NICTS needs to take strategic decisions regarding its LOB applications, in particular whether to significantly invest in these solutions as is; or to establish a number of major projects to take forward their replacement.
