Description

The annual service will be carried out to OEM & ESB requirements, and will include but is not restricted to the following. • Provision of ‘Method Statement/Risk Assessment’ before works commence. • Injection testing of protection relays, both over-current & earth fault and verification of design consequence. • Supply, install and commission 2no. OC / EF relay - Main Supply. • Operation testing of local protection on transformers, i.e. alarm and trip circuits on over-temperature and pressure relays. • Checking MV cable terminations for evidence of heating or discharge. • Checking of ‘DC APSU’ for ‘stand by’ and operation of local alarms and trips. Checking of main LT connections at transformer end of cable run. • Exercising, lubrication and proving of mechanical operation of MV Circuit Breakers. • Exercising, lubrication and proving of mechanical operation of MV ‘isolator and/or racking mechanisms. • Exercising, lubrication and proving of mechanical operation of MV ‘earth switches. • Visual inspection of ‘circuit breakers’ for gas leaks and/or mechanical damage. • Replacement of saturated desiccant. • Cleaning down of switchgear insulating surfaces, voids, and bushings. • Cleaning down of transformer insulating surfaces, voids, and bushings. • Visual inspection of ‘ONAN’ transformers for oil leaks and/or mechanical damage. • Inspection of MV accommodation/plant-rooms for availability of accessories, safety equipment and safe access. • Make recommendations to bring installation up to industries current ‘best practice’. • Advise on condition of 20 No. replacement PSU Batteries. Replace where necessary • The oil transformers can be subjected to ‘Dissolved Gas Analysis’ (DGA). Take samples and have them analysed for DGA and Oil quality. • Organise and schedule an (upstream) ESB isolation to facilitate the works.
