Description

The department already has an established technological gene platform from Roche, which, amongst other things, includes 5 LightCycler 480. Due to high pressure on the current platform, already established analyses can be transferred from the existing platform to a new platform. The existing platform shall also function as a back-up for the new (and vice-versa) in the event of any instrument stoppage. This is only practically possible through the procurement of a LightCycler 480. The procurement of a new real-time PCR instrument is therefore to be seen as a capacity expansion of an already established total system for gene molecular diagnostics. Based on the above, it is only Roche as the supplier of LightCycler 480 who can meet our needs. See the above.
