Published

Description

In 2013 the Central Bank of Ireland (CBoI) acquired a partially built reinforced concrete structure located on North Wall Quay, Dublin 1, for the development of a high specification, fit for purpose office building that will accommodate CBoI city centre operations and personnel in one centralised location. The project objective is to provide sufficient office accommodation and ancillary facilities to support CBoI employees. The accommodation will be fully owned by the CBoI which plans to occupy it for the foreseeable future as its long term accommodation. The building will have a GIFA of circa 25,000sqm, over basement, with provisions for car park ramp, flood defences, pavement upgrade works and general external works. It is currently anticipated that the overall project will consist of two separately public procured phases; Phase 1 being the completion of the base building to a developer shell and core standard including external works and Phase 2 being the completion of the interior fit-out of the complete building, including catering, IT/AV, security and other specialist installations. The CBoI anticipates that the property when completed will achieve a BREEAM excellent rating via the provision of appropriate sustainability solutions utilising a mixed mode ventilation strategy. The CBoI is seeking, in broad terms, a façade / curtain walling contractor for the design, manufacture, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of the façade / curtain walling for their new head office building on North Wall Quay, Dublin 1. The façade / curtain walling contractor will, subject to the CBoI requirements, engage with client, design consultants, sub consultants, specialists, contractors, specialist subcontractors or subcontractors necessary to design, manufacture, supply, install, test and commission the façade / curtain walling (the “Works”).
