Cork County Council, working in partnership with Fáilte Ireland, requires the services of a Single Service Provider with experience of major Civil and Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Works including Cableways leading a multidisciplinary team including: — Architect with experience of working on iconic civic projects and on bespoke projects in challenging marine and environmentally sensitive areas, — Landscape Architect with experience of working in marine and environmentally sensitive areas, — Quantity Surveyor with experience of working on iconic civic projects and on bespoke projects, — Consultant with experience of design of Cultural Heritage/Interpretive Visitor Centres including audiovisual elements, — Consultant with experience of planning, development and management of tourist destinations including associated websites, — The lead consultant shall execute the Contract with the Cork County Council with collateral warranties required for Sub-consultants. Cork County Council, working in partnership with Fáilte Ireland, requires the services of a multidisciplinary team: — Consultant with experience of major Civil and Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Works including Cableways, — Architect with experience of working in marine and environmentally sensitive areas, — Landscape Architect, — Quantity Surveyor, — Consultant with experience of design of Cultural Heritage/Interpretive Centers, — Consultant with experience of planning, development and management of tourist destinations including associated websites. The team shall comprise of a lead consultant, who will execute the Contract with the Cork County Council, and a number of sub-consultants with collateral warranties for Sub-consultants. The Consultant is required for the preparation of all Investigations, Reports, Statutory Permit Applications, Contract Documents and other Engineering Services outlined in the following sections of this Brief necessary for the delivery of the Dursey Island Cable Car and Visitor Centre Project. The existing cableway, constructed in 1969, is to be decommissioned and replaced with a 2 car cableway to meet current National and European Standard and Regulations. An associated Heritage/Cultural Center is to be constructed on the mainland (Beara Peninsula) with a smaller building on Dursey Island with necessary upgrades to car parking, water supply and wastewater treatment included in the proposed construction contract.
