Description

The contracting authority wants to enter into agreement with an insurance broker who shall assist Jernbaneinfrastrukturforetaket SF in getting the necessary insurance contracts in place from and including 1.1.2017. The company will not be covered by the state's self-insured scheme, like The Norwegian National Rail Administration is currently. Therefore there will be a need to establish all of the necessary insurance schemes from and including 1.1.2017. Property insurance, liability insurance, directors and officers liability insurance and insurance of persons/occupational injury are highlighted as being amongst the most relevant insurances to get established. It may be necessary to establish some insurance contracts with effect in 2016. It may also be necessary for the company to set up a captive insurance company. The Norwegian National Rail Administration currently has various operational departments at nearly 100 stationing locations across the country and has highest activity in the central eastern area. The Norwegian National Rail Administration's management and central staff are established in Oslo, while the common support functions are located at Tamar. It is planned to transfer up to 4 000 employees to the company from the Norwegian National Rail Administration. See the qualification documentation for further information.
