Review SEPA's current fluvial hazard map methodology to identify strengths, gaps, area for improvement and their ability to meet user needs.Undertake a literature review of alternative national fluvial modelling and mapping methodologies used elsewhere in the UK and internationally as well as a review of current and emerging research into data, science and technologies supporting fluvial flood hazard modelling and mapping.Develop options for SEPA to consider for fluvial flood map updates that meet both short term statutory deadlines but also provide opportunities for longer term innovation.The outcome will be a series of evidence papers that support decision making and programme planning for SEPA’s fluvial flood hazard map, reduce statutory duty risks, and improve the quality and outputs of the fluvial flood hazard map.As defined in the Scope.
