East Dunbartonshire Council invites suitably qualified consultants to provide a programme of work for the development of a comprehensive Nature-Based Investment Study, including a comprehensive climate modelling analysis of native, near native and non-native tree and shrub species, including hybrids and cultivars, to establish their resilience for a number of climatic factors and conditions. The Study will form a key component of Council’s climate change and biodiversity strategy, supporting both area-wide and corporate net-zero targets while identifying opportunities to attract external investment and deliver measurable co-benefits. Lot 1: East Dunbartonshire Council is seeking to appoint a suitably experienced consultancy to deliver a Nature-Based Investment Study for the East Dunbartonshire area. This study will assess the area's natural capital, identify nature-based solutions (NBS) opportunities, model carbon sequestration potential, analyse investment and revenue pathways, and develop a strategic plan to support future implementation. The commission will include date review, GIS mapping, carbon and habitat assessment, stakeholder engagement, opportunity and constraint analysis, and the development of investment ready recommendations to support climate, biodiversity and resilience objectives..
