Communal Food Waste Bin

Description

Chesterfield Borough Council is seeking to purchase 140L lid-in-lid wheeled bins for the collection of food waste at communal properties, including multi-occupancy dwellings and other shared residential areas across Chesterfield. The bins will support communal food waste collection arrangements and must be suitable for regular operational use in shared external areas. The initial purchase requirement is approximately 500 bins, with an anticipated ongoing requirement of around 40 bins per year for spare stock and replacements. The contract will cover the supply of bins meeting the Council's preferred specification, including any associated branding and delivery requirements. The preferred specification includes: • 140L wheeled bin with lid-in-lid design suitable for food waste collections • Silver-grey body with a contrasting coloured inner lid, where available • Chesterfield Borough Council logo and Council name displayed on the bin • Clear "Food Waste" wording displayed on the bin Suppliers will also be required to confirm the available body and lid colour combinations, indicative pricing, lead times, minimum order quantities, locking options, and whether sample bins or sample lids can be provided for evaluation prior to final order confirmation. ## Contract award
