Prosiect partneriaeth yw hon a ddatblygwyd ar y cyd gan Ardal o Harddwch Naturiol Eithriadol Bryniau Clwyd a Dyffryn Dyfrdwy, Safle Treftadaeth y Byd Dyfrbont a Chamlas Pontcysyllte, Cyngor Bwrdeistref Sirol Wrecsam, Cyngor Sir Ddinbych, Cyngor Sir Amwythig, Ymddiriedolaeth Camlesi ac Afonydd, Cyfoeth Naturiol Cymru, Cadw, Cadwyn Clwyd, a Chyfeillion Bryniau Clwyd a Dyffryn Dyfrdwy. Mae’r prosiect yn canolbwyntio ar dirwedd Dyffryn Dyfrdwy a Safle Treftadaeth y Byd Dyfrbont Pontcysyllte a’r Gamlas Mae Castell Dinas Brân yn olygfa eiconig yn Nyffryn Dyfrdwy, castell Cymraeg a’i hadeiladwyd yng nghanol yr 13eg ganrif, mae’n denu 50,000 o ymwelwyr bob blwyddyn. Twr y porthdy yw'r unig ran o’r castell sydd yn amgaeedig gyda tho. Mi fydd y gwaith atgyfnerthu, a ariennir gan y Loteri Genedlaethol a Chadw yn rhoi profiad gwellhaol i ymwelwyr iddynt gael mynediad tu fewn i’r porthdy a oedd gynt wedi cau. Mi fydd y porthdy yn cael ei agor i ddigwyddiadau arbennig. . “Our Picturesque Landscape” is a National Lottery Heritage Funded landscape partnership project developed by the Clwydian Range and Dee Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Pontcysyllte Aqueduct and Canal World Heritage Site, Wrexham County Borough Council, Denbighshire County Council, the Canal & River Trust, Shropshire Council, Natural Resources Wales, Cadw, Cadwyn Clwyd and the Friends of the Clwydian Range and Dee Valley. The project centres on the landscape of the Dee Valley and the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct and Canal World Heritage Site. Castell Dinas Brân is an iconic sight in the Dee Valley being a Welsh built castle dating from the mid 13th century and is visited by around 50,000 people every year. The gatehouse tower is the only enclosed and roofed area of the castle. The reconsolidation work, being funded by the National Lottery and Cadw, will provide visitors with an enhanced experience when they can access the previously closed off interior of the gatehouse. The tower will be opened up for special events.
