Description

Bron Afon is seeking a suitably experienced Contractor to undertake pitched & Flat roofing, covered walkway removal, building and electrical works to fourteen Bron Afon owned bungalows and one house in Pontnewydd, Cwmbran. The works include; removing and replacing the existing pitched roofs coverings, fascia, soffits & rainwater goods. Removing the covered walkways and associated works, including general building and electrical work. This project consists of the removal of walkway canopies and re-roofing works to 23 properties and a communal lounge located in Llwyn Celyn, Two Locks, Cwmbran. The properties at Llwyn Celyn Bungalows are primarily terraced bungalows with one two storey house. The bungalows are connected together by front and rear covered walkways. The scheme also has shared communal areas, such as a communal lounge and kitchen. The scheme is classed as retirement housing and was built in the nineteen sixties. In addition to the bungalows, there are 3 blocks of two storey flats adjacent to the complex that are included in the project. Therefore there are 10 Bungalows, 1 House and 12 Flats contained in 3 blocks (each block consisting of 4 flats). The roof over the communal lounge is also to be replaced as part of this project. The properties are of a similar traditional construction type. The residents of all the properties, consist of Bron Afon tenants.
