Everything Net Zero - Services, Products, Solutions, and Support for the public sector transition to Net Zero
Published
Description
The East of England Broadband Network (E2BN), as the Contracting Authority, is putting in place a Framework Agreement for use by UK public sector bodies, identified in II.2.4 (and any future successors to these organisations), which include Schools, Academies, Multi Academy Trusts, RBCs, DfE School Buying Hubs, Colleges, Universities, Central Government Departments and their Arm's Length Bodies and Agencies, Non Departmental Public Bodies, NHS Bodies and Local Authorities (County, Unitary, District, Borough, Parish, Town), Devolved Administrations, Fire Service, Police Service, Transport Services, Buying Consortiums and Charities. The above public sector bodies have a need for a compliant procurement vehicle to access a range of products, services, solutions and support to achieve public sector ‘Net Zero’ strategies (https://www.gov.uk/search/all?keywords=Net+Zero&order=relevance ) across the whole range of fields in education and the wider public sector. Such areas include but are not limited to: reducing all emissions, especially carbon; increasing the use of sustainable resources; improving recycling; exploiting greener technologies and innovation; ways to improve ventilation; greener power generation; improved waste management and exploitation; greener use of utilities: water, electricity, gas, oils, and other fuels including hydrogen, battery and nuclear; greener transportation; improved design of buildings, open spaces; more sustainable use of old buildings and brownfield sites; sustainable building works and planting within parks and green spaces; and also accessing financing, grants and awards to deliver a comprehensive greener strategy to meet the diverse needs of education, central and local government and other public sector and associated organisations. This framework will be a single lot sole supplier framework. The contract will be let on a 4 year term. The successful bidder will be expected to demonstrate they can impartially control, manage and deliver against the full range of required areas within the ITT and to maintain and integrate such competing sub-contractors as necessary to ensure choice and flexibility in each category, best value and seamless interoperability. At all times choice, service and cost are of vital importance. Sustainability and continuity of supply are important, as too are the need to ensure innovation of products and service as well as the need to manage both small enterprises and large corporations.
