Shannon Airport Weather Station Upgrade Works

Description

Replacement of existing radar on the roof of Shannon Airport in the following works sequence: Installation of site compound with installation of 90m spanning crane and external access tower to landside of Airport Arrivals Hall; Application of intumescent fire treatment to underside of existing pod steelwork to boiler house roof; Lift off existing ray dome in one piece; Remove TR Cell. Remove antenna dish; Remove antenna pedestal. Install new base ring; Install new roof finish; Install new antenna pedestal; Install new dish; Lift pre-assembled ray dome from compound - an anchoring ground platform might be required in compound to secure dome as it is being built, dependent on weather conditions; Remove and replace existing roofing membrane; Fit flashing to base of dome and roof junction; Remove and replace PVC window to south elevation; Block single door to north elevation and make new; Over-clad Pod with new cladding; Install new air-conditioning units to east elevation to provide air supply to dome; Complete Interior M&E Fit-Out; Complete Interior Decoration; De-install site compound.
