RFI - Corporate Performance Management System

Description

Our current corporate performance management system has been in place for over twelve years. It has continued to be renewed following desk-based appraisals in collaboration with Procurement, without formal tendering in recent years. For this reason alone, it is appropriate that a review is carried out to explore options of performance management systems from various suppliers, to provide a greater understanding of the current market and, in turn, ensure the system in place is suitable and provides value for money. The Council have a statutory requirement to report on its performance, in line with the direction provided by the Accounts Commission. The Accounts Commission has a power to define the performance information that councils must publish for performance comparison and benchmarking purposes. The areas that the Accounts Commission require the Council to report on, Include: -Improving local Services and local Outcomes -Demonstrating Best Value -Benchmarking & Peer Review Through the Commission's statutory direction on performance reporting, the Commission expects the council to, in agreeing its outcomes with its partners and communities, report on how it has engaged with, responded to, and helped to empower its communities, including those who require greater support. The performance management system used by the Council, enables us to meet this direction and fulfil our statutory requirements.
