UCD proposes to enter a contract for demolition works at UCD Lyons Farm Celbridge Co Kildare The works involve the demolition and removal of a number of existing buildings existing slab and underground tunnel removal asbestos removal and the protection redirection of underground utilities The demolition works will include for the demolition of the following buildings Grain Store Sheep Reproduction building Chemical Store Mill Building An Existing slab and underground tunnel with asbestos also need to be removed as demonstrated on the drawings The works will in most cases involve isolating Services Terminating Cap Off Water Gas Electricity Drainage etc as required Demolition of Existing Buildings comprising corrugated cladding roofing windows offices labs structural steel portal frame blockwork walls reinforced concrete walls ne 2m high slabs including Preliminaries Access Supervision Traffic Management etc Asbestos Removal Refer to Reports Level off and leave safe exposed surfaces yards post demolition Heras fencing to remain on site until main works commence Fencing to be maintained until works commence Fencing to be handed free issue to Main Contractor There are some clearance works to be done by UCD directly eg silo removal and these will be completed before this enabling package commences The full package is included in the tender accompanying this document
