Zero Waste Scotland wishes to engage with local business engagement partners who can support delivery of circular economy activity in the City of Edinburgh. These partners must be capable of bringing a range of business engagement skills and experience, and of demonstrating strong existing relationships with a local network of SMEs (including third sector organisations), credibility with the business, academic, and public sector community in their locale; and a track record of exemplar partnership working. There are 4 elements to this work that the contractor will be responsible for delivering: — raise awareness, — facilitate Stage 1 business consultation, — Mobilise SME network/facilitate collaboration, — signpost to sources of support and/or funding to implement new CE projects. In addition, Zero Waste Scotland is keen to build capacity around CE with our contractors. Further detail is provided in the tender document. There is no prescriptive methodology for delivery of these activities, and contractors are expected to be able to demonstrate innovative thinking in their proposed solution, drawing upon previous experience working with SMEs in the target area to outline an appropriate approach for each required element, and to identify additional elements that would add value to Stage 2 delivery overall without exceeding identified scope or timescales.
