GALW/COSE1847/26 Conducting technical and pre-clinical research and development of a novel cardiovascular medical device.

Description

The University of Galway are developing a novel technology for supporting the right ventricle during periods of pressure overload. The team are seeking tenders for two different lots of services: Lot 1: R and D Consultant to provide services in the development of a novel cardiovascular medical device for evaluation in a pre-clinical study. Lot 2: The tenderer will offer services for the evaluation of a novel cardiovascular medical device in a large animal model. This contract will involve the development of a protocol and study strategy. The study will include implanting prototype devices in acute animals to demonstrate proof of concept, as well as implanting animals for acute evaluation to support assessment of the prototypes.
