Request For Information - Implementing a Commercial Off-The-Shelf Solution for an Enterprise IT Platform within the Food Safety and Food Authenticity area of the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine

The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM) is conducting a preliminary market consultation to gather information from potential suppliers for implementing an Enterprise IT Solution for case management and customer portal prior to potentially going to market for the provision of an EITS. It is intended that the solution will digitally support the food safety and food authenticity processes, the management of Food Safety and Food Authenticity (FSFA) related cases, the co-ordination of official controls, food business operator engagements and digitally support FSFA related external stakeholder engagements with DAFM. The solution should also be integrated with existing DAFM systems and databases. The implementation of the IT solution and development of the official controls’ activities will align with DAFM’s digital principles, and the official regulations associated with food safety and authenticity activities. This Request for Information (RFI) is to assist DAFM in clarifying its requirements and evaluating potential options for providing a Commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) Enterprise IT Solution for case management and customer portal. DAFM is issuing this RFI and inviting responses for market research. DAFM is at a discovery stage, and the purpose of this RFI is to explore various solutions available in the market for potential use.
