The RMO is undertaking a process to incorporate AI into Road Asset Management practises in Ireland, in key areas such as image recognition, autonomous data analysis, technology and applications. The Road Management Office (RMO) intends to run a competitive procurement process for the establishment of a Multi Supplier Framework for the provision of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Road Pavement Condition Rating and associated Road Asset Survey Services in 2026. This will result in the establishment of a Framework Agreement available for use by framework clients . As part of this process the RMO is undertaking an analysis of market capabilities, technologies and systems available, processes currently in use, and general market dynamics. Our aim is to establish a fit for purpose Framework Agreement for the provision of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Road Pavement Condition Rating and associated Road Asset Survey Services for the proposed term 2027 to 2031. Please note that this is not a tender competition and we are not seeking tenders at this stage, it is purely an information gathering exercise seeking the views of market operators on possible approaches that may be taken in any potential tender process. Please complete and return the attached PMC documents.
