Description

The vehicles that have completed their life cycle within the Trust are to be disposed of via an auction house that specialises in Emergency vehicles. Vehicles will be predominantly in running order however there will be a small number that are to be disposed of in a non-running condition. On occasions the auction house will be required to carry out repairs to the vehicles to maximise sales returns. Lot 1: The vehicles that have completed their life cycle within the Trust are to be disposed of via a vehicle auction provider that specialises in the disposal of Ambulance Service Vehicles. Vehicles will be predominantly in running order however there will be a small number that are to be disposed of in a non-running condition. The Trust preference is that all vehicles are sold as a fully functioning vehicles complete with blue lights (where fitted) as past experience has proven this achieves a higher sales value The successful auction provider will need to provide a fully managed service, this will include but not be limited to: -Arranging vehicle collection either by car transporter or driven from any Trust location or third party workshop within Wales -Complete all entry forms and set reserve values that maximise the return to the Trust -Carry out repairs to the vehicles as required to maximise sales returns. -Provide all documents to the Trust electronically -Provide storage facilities of Trust vehicles until disposal value has been achieved -Provide the appropriate audience for the disposal of emergency ambulance vehicles All Emergency Ambulances, Rapid Response cars, Patient Transport vehicles and Specialist Emergency vehicles that are sold to buyers not eligible to operate them intact must be fully decommissioned, this includes removal of all blue lights, exterior lighting, sirens, reflective livery and all other identifying markings found on an emergency vehicle. Welsh Ambulance Service NHS Trust recognises the importance of the Welsh language to the communities it serves. Consequently, responses to an invitation to quote or tender will be accepted in Welsh as well as English. However, please note that tender responses submitted only in Welsh will be translated by the Trust into English before consideration. Those involved in translating the document will be barred from taking decisions on awarding tenders.
