Description

The Scottish Government has awarded a contract for the design, supply, installation, and commissioning of a replacement Vessel Management System (VMS), incorporating Power Management System (PMS) functionality, onboard Marine Scotland’s MPV Jura and MPV Hirta. Lot 1: The Scottish Government has awarded a contract for the design, supply, installation, and commissioning of a replacement Vessel Management System (VMS), incorporating Power Management System (PMS) functionality, onboard Marine Scotland’s MPV Jura and MPV Hirta. Both vessels currently operate legacy Rolls–Royce Integrated Platform Management Systems (IPMS) that are obsolete and unsupported. The replacement project aims to ensure enhanced operational efficiency, long–term supportability, and functional standardisation across both platforms.
